fall/winter shopping
my boss surprised me with a promotion the other day! with a promotion comes extra cash monies, so of course i did the responsible thing and celebrated with some shopping.
oversized v-neck sweater from french connection. mine is black.
frye veronica slouch boots. one of my favorite purchases ever. they make me feel really tough. it's rare for me to find an article of clothing that makes me feel a certain way...
american apparel tri-blend raglan top. i'm obsessed with tri-blend. i bought two of them, one in a size medium, the other in a small. you should get one. it's so comfortable and versatile. my roommate saw me in it and said, "i like your top. it looks like a sweatshirt but it's not."
on a different note, i'm TRYING to buy some hosiery but am having a hard time finding a good pair of tights. i tried marshall's, tj maxx, macy's, etc. but they didn't have any that caught my eye. does anyone know where i can get some quality tights? nice ones. nicer than hue but not as nice as wolford. i like dark colors, wool, and am partial to Calvin Klein and DKNY hosiery.

Omg! Congrats on the promotion! I love your purchases, especially those boots. I'm having the same issue with hoisery. I got two pairs from Charlotte Russe for under ten bucks and they've lasted a few wears. I'm going to try the ones from Express soon and I'll give you my review on those too.
I love those boots. Isn't American Apparel supposed to be good for tights?

I found a few goodies at TJmaxx but you said you had no luck there, but also try Urban Outfitters-they are alittle pricier but they have every color and style. I found my favorite pair at Express a few years ago, they are think and I can wear them as pants.
...so any updates on the way?
Congrats on the promotion! I love the sweater. Actually I love it all. As for hosiery, I'm not sure if they have Daffy's in your neck of the woods, but I found some slightly-better-than-Hue pairs there a few months ago. If you're ever in NYC, Century 21 is a good bet for discount Calvin Klein hosiery.

The verdict is in...even though I never got a chance to try the thights from Express I bought a pair of Xhilliration ones from Target and they are absolutely GREAT! Right now they have them in purple, bright blue ( I have a pair), magenta, and red I think. They are thick, soft, and don't seem like they would rip...and they are only $5.99 a pair!
