hey guys, sorry for being MIA again. it's been such a terrible habit lately, but i promise there will be new updates on the web site soon!
i've been on a buying rampage lately, and it doesn't feel too good at all! my clothesrack is getting crowded again so that means i need to get rid of stuff i'm attached to. i guess that's what happens when you get seduced by $3 sales at old navy.
so i went to new york a few weekends ago. i had my list of stores to hit up but of course there's never enough time to visit them all. i went to a bunch of places but i'll just talk about the ones i actually bought stuff from:
i'd been thinking how cute the bird web site is for quite some time now, so this was one of my top stores to visit. it took a while to get to cobble hill because one of the trains was out of service. we got kind of cranky, but all was well when we set foot into the store. i spent a long time there pretty much trying everything on. i bought these see by chloe pants pictured here:

they're baggy and pleated and cropped and i don't care how "unflattering" people tell me they are. they're very me. besides, this will give me an excuse to buy some cute pumps or oxfords.
i don't think i have to say much about this store except i liked most of what they had. just go to their web site!
i also went to my very first sample sale. it was the third day of the steven alan sale so i thought there would be nothing when we got there. not true at all. there were also plenty of items from other brands such as mayle, mociun, lewis cho, to name a few. i love mayle, but the dresses were not my size. there was so much merchandise it was easy to just grab stuff because the price seemed good. i limited myself and ended up buying a light gray sunshine and shadow mini skirt:

not a purchase just yet, but i'm thinking of buying this vince cocoon sweater coat. it looks really unattractive in all the stock photos i found, but it looks much better in real life. if you like this, try not to buy it in an xs online, ok?

i've also bought a few other things, as well as a skirt i made, but those will be the subject of the next post!
