sale + preview
hello! almost everything in the store is 30% off. you need to get on that.
work has been crazy busy lately, so i haven't had a chance to thrift as much as i would have liked. i even had to pull 12-hour shifts both saturday and sunday for my boss--yuck! now that the big deadlines are over for now, i'm hoping to find the time to post some new items this week. in the meantime, here's a small preview:

new bag is here!
i got this vintage bag from e-bay. it's a tote-style but also has a long strap so you can wear it on the shoulder.

it also folds down!

hmm, look strangely familiar?

yeah, i guess anna corinna used to work in vintage or something, so it's no surprise to me that she's inspired by the simple details of the past.
when i was looking for a bag, i was ready to settle for the anna corinna one because i thought the proportions were really cute, and it was known for its versatility. but then i saw one in person and the shiny gold-toned hardware turned me off. i don't remember there being any lining on the inside, either. and for over $400? there should be a lining.
ok, so maybe my bag is kind of beat up, and the lining smells a little musty, and the strap just isn't as long as i'd like. but still, it feels pretty cool to have the original.
hardware-less bags
i haven't bought a bag in years: the flashy hardware on most bags nowadays just don't do it for me. it seems like designers just keep adding more bells and whistles like huge hardware, tons of pockets, zipper, fringe, you name it. but i just want less, less, less--something simple but different. i really like all of these,:
marni paper thin balloon bag. the style seems 60s-ish, yet the long strap makes it modern and functional.

jil sander bag. i love all the jil sander ones from barney's! too bad the price tags make me nauseous...

henry cuir dome bag. cute vintage shape with minimal, tonal hardware.

i just won an amazing vintage bag off ebay. can't wait to get it!
