comfortable heels = high price?
i tried on a pair of rachel comey heels yesterday and couldn't believe how comfortable they were despite the heel height. they were the "bendy" leather kind, with cushioned footbeds. most other heels i've tried on have been as flexible and padded as concrete. i stopped bothering trying heels on since they were never comfortable, but tried the rachel comeys on a whim. now i'm wondering if i had it all wrong: that my flattish feet aren't shaped for high shoes, that i walk funny in them, that they all hurt after wearing them for half an hour. but maybe i just wasn't wearing the right pair.
so, do you find more expensive heels to be easier on the feet? these ones were $240, which isn't a terrible price, but not the usual $30-$90 range i'm used to trying on. just wondering. really, i think i'm just trying to come up with an excuse to buy these shoes:
